Luanda — The Defence minister Cândido Van-Dunem Monday in Luanda swore in lt-general Vicente Matias Félix as director of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) Pension Fund.
The 60-year old Vicente Matias Felix has in his career held the posts of deputy Defenceminister for Administration and Finance, deputy director of the State-run "Banco de Poupança e Credito" and director for Urbanisation of the "Nova Vida" housing project.
Addressing the ceremony witnessed by Defence Ministry officials and FAA officers, minister Cândido Van-Dúnem wished the newly invested officer a successful performance of duties.
He said the newly sworn in officer is tasked with defending the interests of those that in the ranks of the Angolan Armed Forces fought for the wellbeing of the country and people.
The retired lt-general joined the army on 15 June 1973. He holds a degrees in Economics from the Angolan State-run Agostinho Neto University (UAN) and is a master in Business Management and Administration from a US university. He is fluent in Portuguese and English.
