Gambia: Who Will Help Omar Jobe?

Omar Jobe, a 32-year-old man and resident of Nema Nasiru on Wednesday walked into the Observer offices seeking assistance to undergo an overseas treatment.

According to a medical report issued from the Sheikh Zayeh Regional Eye Care Centre, the patient, Omar Jobe suffered from both eyes right sclerosed comes opacity (pannus) left leucoma. He is blind in both eyes.

Speaking to this reporter, Omar appealed to the government, NGOs, individuals and the private sector to come to his aid.
