Kenya: Shilling Opens the Week Stable to the Dollar

The shilling was steady against the dollar , but traders say it could slip on the back of importers buying the dollars to make purchases for Christmas.

Commercial banks quoted the shilling at 85.65/75 to the dollar, barely changed from Friday's close of 85.60/80. Traders also expect the local currency to trend towards the 86.00 level by the end of the week.
