Within the context of feverish efforts to reach a truce that halts the Israeli aggression on Gaza, President Mohamed Morsi continues his efforts to halt the Israeli aggression.

He telephoned on Monday 19/11/2012 German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Prime Minister of Japan, the Presidents of Iran and Brazil to discuss means of halting the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

He also received a phone call from French President Francois Hollande in which he expressed France's support Egypt's efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza.

Meanwhile, a delegation of a number of political figures, led by Leader of Egypt's Freedom and Justice Party Saad el-Katatni, arrived in Gaza to voice solidarity with the Gaza Strip residents against a fierce Israeli offensive.

Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr, accompanied by an Arab ministerial delegation, will head for Gaza on Tuesday 20/11/2012, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Amr Roshdi said.
