Kenya: Editorial Changes at Capital Fm

Nairobi — Bernard Momanyi has been named News Editor at Capital FM.

Bernard who is a graduate of Moi University is currently enrolled for a Masters Degree at the same institution.

He commands over a decade of experience in news gathering operations having worked in the print industry before joining Capital FM in 2005.

Before being promoted to the position of News Editor, Bernard was in charge of the crime desk at Capital FM.

He has covered a wide-range of security issues.

Commenting on the appointment, Capital Group Editorial Director Michael Mumo said he believes Bernard will propel the newsroom to greater accomplishments.

"We are pace setters in the radio news market and are achieving immense success on our website www.capitalfm.coke/news. This appointment will bolster our news operations," Mumo said.

Bernard pledged to work with the Capital FM Newsteam and other stakeholders to ensure the station's reputation for authoritative and reliable news remains strong.

"I have worked with a team of professional journalists since I joined Capital FM and it will be a privilege leading my colleagues to new heights, especially as we strengthen our position in delivering news on our fast-growing digital platform," said Bernard.
