Liberia: No Need to Remove Speaker Tyler - Lawmaker Asserts

6 November 2012

Bong County Lawmaker Representative, George Mulbah, has asserted that there is no need to remove the Speaker of the House of Representatives J. Alex Tyler. He denied being part of an "underground" campaign to remove House Speaker J. Alex Tyler.

Rep. Mulbah was part of the block of lawmakers in the 52nd Legislature that pushed for the removal of Representative Edwin M. Snowe from the Speakership of the House of Representatives. Mulbah told legislative reporters that so far, Speaker Tyler's shortcomings do not warrant his removal, and as such, he will not support such action.
