Kenya: Fun and Games At the Mingle

Philosopher Plato said that "You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation". That is the angle taken by the organisers of The Mingle. It is an event that takes place once every two months and is the newest avenue to relax, hang-out and meet new people.

The Impala grounds along Ngong road, Nairobi hosted the Mingle last Saturday afternoon. Corporates took the opportunity to host their clients and interact with them. However, the Airtel tent was not at all hospitable to guests who had sat at their tent.

Nevertheless, the desire to be like a child again was evident by the enthusiasm the attendees had towards the games section. Popular childhood activities like fast charades, kati, shake-lock-and-key, combined with modernities like pool, Wii, human bingo, speed mingling made for a very entertaining event.

Despite the electricity blackout that threatened to end the function prematurely, Code RED's DJ Stylez capped off the evening with a super performance on the decks.
