Kenya: Driver Killed in Sh2 Million Heist
By Calvin Onsarigo, 20 November 2012
ARMED men yesterday shot dead a driver of Security Group Africa Company and stole some Sh2 million at Nyali's Suburb Estate. Police said the five robbers hijacked the security van and robbed five staff members at gun point.
Kisauni police boss Julius Wanjohi said the van left the company office to pick two AP officers attached to presidential aspirant Peter Kenneth in Nyali.
"We suspect something sinister. The vehicle left with the cash without the escort of police and with occupants not assigned to it," he said. Police arrested the five employees.
