Kenya: Be Example to Students, Teachers Told

TEACHERS should respect rights in the implementation of teaching programmers, Murang'a County Teachers' Service Commission (TSC) director Ibrahim Adan has said.

He said teachers should be careful when handling the students with various needs. He made the remarks during an induction seminar of 223 newly-employed secondary school teachers in the county.

The event was held at Technology Primary School in Murang'a town. Adan said high standards and ethics is critical among teachers.

He warned that stern disciplinary action will be taken by TSC against any teacher found exposing students to pornographic materials on the internet.

Adan said ICT makes it easy to access pornography in schools. He said the technology should be used carefully for relevant teaching needs.
