Kenya: Majority of Kenyans Own Illegal Firearms

There are more than 600 000 firearms in the wrong hands in Kenya.

About 680 thousand households own at least one illegal firearm. Direcor of the National focal point on small arms David Kimaiyo says a national estimate of firearms shows that Kenyans feel insecure as a result. He says the youth own a majority of illegal firearms.
