Tunisia: Nation Seals EU Partnership Deal

Tunisia on Monday (November 19th) became a "privileged partner" of the European Union, TAP reported. The agreement was reached during the 9th EU-Tunisia Association Council session in Brussels.

The agreement strengthens economic exchanges and provides new opportunities for Tunisian exports to the European market, the Tunisia foreign ministry said in a statement.

The new status also offers partnerships in scientific research, higher education, business and other sectors.
