Luanda — Pedro Godinho, the candidate of list A in the elections held Wednesday for the post of chairperson of the Angolan Handball Federation is leading the race, with 56 votes, against 36 of his opponent Braulio de Brito ( list B).
The election process took place in 16 provinces, with the exception of Zaire and Bengo, with a voting population of 95, divided into 81 clubs and 16 associations.
The process registered three abstentions, one in Luanda (Interclube) and other in Kwanza Sul, where the teams of Recreativo do Seles and Ara of Gabela failed to turn up.
The opening of ballots and counting of votes is set for November 23, while the deadline to file complaints is scheduled for 26th November.
The national election commission, led by Cardoso de Lima, will release the final results on November 28.
