Tanzania: TCCIA Firm to Meet On Friday

THE TCCIA Investment Company Limited will hold its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Msimbazi Centre in Dar es Salaam on Friday.

The firm's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Donald Kamori said in a press statement issued in the city yesterday that the meeting will discuss a number of agenda and will also elect a new Board of Directors.

"This is a good opportunity for shareholders to pick new office bearers whose tenure in office is three years. He has called upon shareholders to turn up in big numbers. According to Mr Kamori, the meeting will be preceded by a seminar for all shareholders.

"Once, again I appeal to all shareholders countrywide to attend the meeting." he stressed. He said the company has maintained a robust growth which has seen the capital shooting from 1.9bn/- in 2005 to 6.73bn/- to-date. "We first started to invest in the National Microfinance Bank (NMB)...

But now the company has invested into TBL, DCB Commercial Bank PLC, CRDB, Tanzania Cement, Tanzania Portland Cement Company Ltd, Swissport and Tanzania Cigarette Company," he said. Mr Kamori said the company's investment portfolio has also grown steadily.

TCCIA Investment Company Limited is a commercial arm of the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA).
