Comedian Daniel Ndambuki aka Churchill has been nominated for the annual UK Kenya achievers awards event slated for December 15.

Churchill has been nominated for his excellence in comedy and nurturing new talent since he established himself as one of the best comedians in Kenya.

"I am very honoured by these nominations but I unfortunately I will not make it to the UK as I will be hosting the Kids festival on the same weekend,"Churchill told Word Is.

Other nominees include Lynette Mutuota for Young star, Engineer Paul Odera for community champion and Dr Judith Muthuri. It is expected that Kenya presidential contenders keen to reap from the diaspora electorate votes and support may find it an inevitable opportunity and worth jostling for.

Last year the third event was held at the Holiday Inn Bloombury and Churchill made an appearance at the event attended by close to 500 people. "This year we have included the Young star category for the 16-25 years", said Mathiu a Kenyan born London hotelier in a statement . The nomination process is done through the website so that people have free choice.
