Somalia: Suspected Al Shabab Fighters Attack Home of Security Official in Kismayo

Kismayo — Suspected Heavy armed Al shabab assailants have on Wednesday night attacked the house of a senior Somali security official in the southern port city of Kismayo, some 500 Km (310 Miles) south of Mogadishu, reports said.

Abdullahi Qaldan, the official was home at the time of the attack and was reportedly escaped unhurt. Soldiers guarding the home of the officials engaged heavy gun battle with attacking militants and fended them off from the area, locals reported.
