Algeria: 'El Para' Aide Trial to Resume in December

An Algiers court on December 19th will resume the trial of a terrorist implicated in the 2003 kidnapping of 15 European tourists in the Sahara desert, APS reported on Tuesday (November 20th).

Kamel Djermane, the "right hand" to former GSPC leader Amari Saifi (Abderrazak El Para) is charged with "belonging to an armed terrorist group, arms trafficking and kidnapping foreigners".

He was handed over to Algerian authorities by Libya in 2004 after his arrest by Chadian rebels.
