Nigeria: Kwankwaso Tasks Ukraine On Students Visa

Kano — Kano State Governor, Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso has appealed to the Ukrainian Embassy in Nigeria to accelerate the visa issuing process to students from the state that are under the sponsorship of the government for postgraduate programmes. The governor's appeal was contained in a statement issued by his spokesman, Halilu Ibrahim Dantiye.

Governor Kwankwaso told the Ukrainian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Valeri Vasyliev in his office in Abuja, that the slow pace of issuing visas to students will negatively affect their studies.

"The government of Kano State has given high priority to education, that is why it is willing to work with the government of Ukraine towards providing qualitative tertiary education for its students", the statement said.
