The Federal Government has approved framework for development of a national integrated infrastructure master plan.
Information Minister Labaran Maku yesterday told State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) that development plan is to span a period of 30 years from 2014-2042.
He said "with this passage of the framework, we expect that MDAs will coordinate all the development plans in the vision 2020 and the transformation agenda of Mr President. If this plan is consistently implemented, we will have greater infusion of Foriegn Direct Investment into our country."
FEC has also approved about N170 billion for roads construction across the country.
Briefing newsmen on the various projects, Works Minister Mike Onolememen said council approved "award of contracts for dualization of Obajana-Okene road in Kogi state to Messrs CGC Nigeria Limited in the sum of N11.6 billion with completion period of 24 months."
The minister said council also approved Okene-Auchi road to Mothercat Limited at the cost of N11 billion to be completed in 42 months, among other roads projects.
