Nigeria: Centre Trains 40 Women On ICT

The National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) yesterday commenced a computer and business skills training for 40 women drawn from different states. Declaring open the training in Abuja, Women Affairs Minister Zainab Maina said the programme, initiated by the ministry, is being executed by its only parastatal, the NCWD. She said the main thrust of the programme was to promote digital inclusion among disadvantaged women.

Earlier, Director General of the centre, Fatima Hassan Betara, said the centre will be responsible for the tuition, feeding and accommodation of the participants during the training.
