Egypt: Grand Imam Welcomes Nigerian Ambassador

Grand Imam of al-Azhar Ahmed el-Tayyeb welcomed on Tuesday 20/11/2012 Nigeria's Ambassador in Cairo and accompanying delegation.

The meeting tackled challenges that Nigerian students face, especially study in Arabic language. It also tackled boosting scientific cooperation between al-Azhar and various religious, scientific and cultural organizations.

El-Tayyeb decided increasing scholarships for Nigerian students studying in al-Azhar who are estimated now at 1500.

The Nigerian ambassador said they agreed on unifying educational curricula in line with al-Azhar curricula.
