Egypt: LE 25 Billion to Establish 250,000 Housing Units in Five Years

Housing and Urban Communities Minister Tareq Wafiq endorsed the general authority for housing and building cooperatives' work plan that includes establishing 250,000 housing units with LE 25 billion cost in five years.

The work plan includes three axes, the first is to activate the role of cooperatives housing sector to establish new urban communities in order to provide housing units, the second is to establish projects of cooperative housing units for low income brackets and people and the third is to set up integrated housing units that include services and job opportunities through partnership in agricultural, productive consumption and housing cooperation.
