Opponents of President Mohamed Mursi gathered on Thursday in Tahrir Square to demand toppling the regime while supporters of the president organized another protest in front of the High Court to commend the constitutional declaration.
Mursi earlier on Thursday issued a constitutional declaration that sacks prosecutor-general Abdel Maguid Mahmoud, provides immunity to the Shura Council and the constituent assembly and orders retrials in the killings of protesters during the revolution.
