Eritrea: Royal Soft Paper and Tampon Factory Engaged in Preparations to to Extend Its Product Line

Asmara — The Asmara-based Royal Soft Paper and Tampon Factory indicated that it is preparing to extend its product line in tandem with the expanding investment prospects in the country.

Mr. Abdalla Abdelkerim, the factory's owner, explained that it was launched in 2005 at Ferro-Via area with limited capacity, and that it is presently producing tampon and various types of soft papers. He further disclosed that the products are being sold nationwide and in markets abroad.

"This business is anticipating introduction of new machinery, the impact of which would be significant in lowering our demand for imported raw materials, besides the fact that it would enable us to extend our product line and production level," Mr. Abdalla elucidated.

The factory has already created job opportunity for 80 citizens.
