Angola: Country to Participate in Istanbul World Swimming Championship

Luanda — The national swimming team will participate from 12 to 16 December in the 11th FINA World Swimming Championship in 25 metres, happening in Istanbul, Turkey, ANGOP learnt from the coach, César Ribeiro.

The coach explained that the board of the Angola Swimming Federation (FAN) intends to take four swimmers the competition, in which over 90 countries ate to participate, with highlight on Pedro Pinotes, a swimmer performing in Sporting de Portugal and João Matias, performing in England.

Angola was in the last edition of the world championship in 25 meters, in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), in 2010, where they did not go beyond the preliminary phase.
