Luanda — A conference convened to discuss peace and security in the Gulf of Guinea region with the participation of all member states will take place on November 27-29 in the Angolan capital, Angop learned from an official source.
According to the source, the event will discuss topics like "The Gulf of Guinea, a peace and security zone", "The influence of peace and security in the Gulf of Guinea region for the stability and development of the african continent", and "The extension of the continental platform, need and challenge for the Gulf of Guinea region."
The meeting will also analyse the state and the consequences of illegal immigation for peace and security in the Gulf of Guinea region, the experience of the Economic Community of West Africa States (ECOWAS) in peace and security keeping, the importance of security in the Gulf of Guinee region as a maritime transport route and other topics.
