Malanje — The minister of Higher Education, Adão do Nascimento, said Wednesday in northeastern Malanje province that the Medicine and Toxicology Information Centre of the Lueji a Jkonde University will be a reference in Southern Africa, due to its importance in providing health services.
Adão do Nascimento was speaking at the opening of the 3rd Scientifica Events of the Faulcty of Medicine taking place sine Wednesday with the theme "Management of nurse cares, an excellence challenge."
The official stated that the election of that scientific area will be thoroughly exploited in order to equip the Faculty of Medicine with means that help handle intoxication problems.
The 3rd Scientific Events that are intended to divulge the implementation of scientific impact innovations, will be an opportunity for participants to discuss topics related to the importance of ethical aspects in the practice of nursing, medical ethics and deontology, nursing the challenge of challenges and the role of the nurse in serving the critical condition patient.
Environmental toxicology, education and society, mental and behavioural disturbances resulting from alcohol intake, basic elements of primary healthcare, family medicine and ethical and legal aspects in medical responsibility are also on the agenda for the meeting.
he sessions are being moderated by specialists from Portugal, Cuba, Brazil and from the provinces of Uige, Cabinda, Huambo and Luanda.
The event is being attended by medicine and nursing students, health professionals, physicians and teachers.
The toxicology Centre was inaugurated in 2011.
