Egypt: Obama Thanks Morsi for Reaching Ceasefire Agreement

The US President Barack Obama thanked President Mohamed Morsi on Wednesday 21/11/2012 for his efforts in negotiating the Hamas-Israel ceasefire.

The President thanked President Morsi for his efforts to achieve a sustainable ceasefire and for his personal leadership in negotiating a ceasefire proposal, the White House said in a statement.

The two leaders agreed in a phone call on the importance of working for a more durable solution to the situation in Gaza, the statement added.

The cease-fire ends a deadly week that left more than 150 people dead.
