Uganda: Umeme Gives Nambi Foundations 5 Million

The Foundation will use this money to participate in the National Children's Thanksgiving Day and Gala event 2012.

Umeme MD Charles Chapman handled over the 5million cheque to Nambi Faridah founder of Nambi Foundations this morning at Rwenzori House, Lumumba Avenue.

"Umeme has in the past supported disadvantaged children because we are cognizant of how we hold their potential for tomorrow in our hands. We partnered with Nambi Initiatives on the noble cause for 2 years now and we are excited to see how far it has grown," Chapman said.

Chapman added that Umeme Ltd views today's children as tomorrow's leaders.

Nambi, a self employed entrepreneur is lobbying for funds through the Nambi Talk show, one she also founded. The event will take place on 24th November 2012 at serena hotel victoria hall.
