Zambia: Nigerian Actor Liz Benson in Zambia

RENOWNED Nigerian actor and evangelist Liz Benson is in Zambia for a few day's visit.

Benson, who arrived in the country on Thursday afternoon, is expected in Ndola on Friday evening to grace a dinner which will be held in her honour at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

She is also scheduled to preach at a women's conference which will be held at Royal Family International Church on the invitation of that congregation's senior pastor Charles Adgeman.

A talented actor and Nolly wood star Liz started acting at the age of five and made her television debut in 1993 when she starred in a locally produced series "Fortunes".

By then she was an unknown entity, Liz soon became a darling to marketers as her appearance in films helped increase sales.

Thus in 1994 she switched her acting prowess to home movies and starred in that year's first production "True Confessions".

Apart from holding a degree in Diplomatic Arts, Liz has other accolades to her name such as the Afro Hollywood award for best actress and Reel awards.

While in Zambia Liz is also expected to be guest of honour at a school leavers thanks-giving gospel musical bash being organised by the New Life Youth Ministries.

Among the artistes to perform at the bash are; DMK, Mag44, Blessed Brothers and Trinity Ambassadors.

Others are Mumbi, High Calling, Nokulula, Pichoux, Mad Dancers and many more.

Charges for the concert have been pegged at K20, 000 per person and the show is scheduled to take place this Sunday at Broadway cinema hall in Ndola.
