Angola: Secretary of State Meets With Youth Associations

Luanda — The secretary of State for Youth, Nhanga Kalunga de Assunção, over the weekend met with representatives of various juvenile political associations with parliament seats, students, churches and others to learn of their concerns and get their contributions.

The information is contained in a note that reached Angop on Friday, stating that the secretary of State also informed the participants about the main goals and guidelines of the Government for the youth.

The revitalisation of the associativism, youth housing, unemployment, excessive intaking of alcohol, road accidents and juvenile delinquency were also tackled at the meeting.

Such meetings have also discussed such topics as retrieval of moral and civic values.

The event was attended by representatives of the political parties CASA-CE, PRS, FNLA and UNITA (opposition) and ruling MPLA, scouts, associations Uniangola and Ecological Youth and Union of Angolan Students.
