Egypt: Popular Alliance Says Will Challenge Constitutional Decree

The Socialist Popular Alliance Party stated on Friday it intends to challenge the new constitutional declaration which it described as a "coup that blows freedoms" as well as the principles of the judiciary's independence and separation of powers.

In a statement issued on Friday, the party said it will politically and on the ground team up with all democratic powers against the new declaration.

This declaration has now dominated the executive power along with the legislative and judiciary powers, the statement added.
