Nigeria: NSF - Accreditation Kicks Off Tomorrow Says Seriki

Lagos — Ademola Seriki, the Chairman of Venues and Facilities Sub-Committee of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) has said that the accreditation of pressmen will commence Nov.24tomorrow at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Seriki who was the former Minister of Interior under the administration of the late Umaru Yar Adua made this known in Friday in Lagos.

Seriki said that the accreditation will enable the press to choose the arenas that they would cover, he said that the time-tables for event would be provided alongside the accreditation.

He also said that the preservation of lives and property is of utmost importance to the organisers of the NSF, and as such would be taken seriously.

"Media accreditation will provide time-table, the accreditation opens tomorrow, and we want this festival to be as organised as what is obtainable in other international competitions.

"We intend to provide adequate security at event venues, we want to make our guest stay in Lagos as memorable as possible, and security comes first for us here.

"And as we all know Lagos happens to be one of the secured state in the country, we want to ensure that our guest do not have any moment of fear or regret at this festival," Seriki said.

The former minister said the preparations by Lagos is worthy of emulation and would not want to make a comparative analysis.

"These facilities were in a deplorable state, as it is now they are in perfect shape, we don't want to make comparative analysis, all we need to do is to improve on what we have and sustain it," he said
