Egypt: Morsi - Developing Countries Should Have Greater Voice

President Mohamed Morsi called on members of the Developing 8 Summit, a meeting of primarily eight Muslim nations, to coordinate their stances on common goals in order to have a greater voice at international forums.

Addressing the D8 Summit in Pakistan, Morsi, in a statement given on his behalf by Vice President Mahmoud Mekki, said developing countries should cooperate and coordinate their views in order to boost their influence internationally and regionally.

He called for outlining a clear strategy to fund development through the establishment of joint projects in member states.
