Somalia: Unknown Gunmen Kill an Entrepreneur in Beledweyne

Mogadishu — Gunmen shot and killed a local businessman in Somalia's central volatile city of Beledweyne controlled by Somali government soldiers together with AMISOM and Ethiopian forces.

Witnesses said they saw the two gunmen armed with pistols shoot the victim. "They opened fire at a man walking towards inside a market on Thursday night. The bullets killed the man on the spot," said one witness who asked not to be named.

Omar Sheikh Ali, the victim has been murdered by assailants armed with pistols at Howlwadad village, east of the city and escaped from the shooting site.

Mohamud Nur Agajoof, the spokesman of Hiiran administration has accused Al shabab to be behind the killing and said the forces are carrying out operations to arrest the killers.
