Zambia: New Printer to Boost Times Quality

TIMES Printpak Limited has commissioned a computer-to-plate (CTP) Metijet printer and processor at the main plant in Ndola to improve print quality and images.

Managing Director Godfrey Malama, who commissioned the new equipment, said the new facility would promote quality and efficiency to enable the company to compete favourably on the market.

He said the firm would improve output in the commercial department and would also churn out a variety of products of high quality.

Following the commissioning of the new facility, the colour registration for the printing press would now be done from the computer and not manually as was the case in the past.

Times Printpak has become the first newspaper publisher in the Southern African region to use the Metijet printer and processor, a system developed in India
