Angola: 26 Groups to Participate in 2013 Namibe Carnival

Namibe — Twenty six carnival groups, including 13 of juvenile category, have registered in south-western Namibe province, with the local department of culture, to participate in the 2013 edition of the carnival.

Speaking to Angop, the head of the Namibe Department of Cultural Action, Firmino Barros, stressed that 12 February of 2013 is the date for the organisation of the carnival in the province.

"Torre do Tombo" carnival group is the holder of the adult title, while "Pioneiro Zeca" is the winner of the infant category.
