Mauritanian security forces arrested a French jihadist in the eastern city of Nema, Jeune Afrique reported on Thursday (November 22nd). The man was allegedly on his way to join al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) terrorists in Timbuktu when he was captured earlier this week. T
he unnamed suspect is reportedly the third French national to be arrested while travelling to join the Islamists in northern Mali.
