Former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin is expected to begin a three-day visit to Algiers on Saturday, El Watan reported on Thursday (November 22nd). Talks with Algerian officials will focus on strengthening economic ties.
In 2011, Raffarin was charged by former French President Nicolas Sarkozy with encouraging investment partnerships between the two countries and managing three major bilateral initiatives: the Renault car factory, the Lafarge cement project and a Total plant.
