North Africa: Libya Offers Financial Aid to Tunisia

Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki and Libyan General National Congress (GNC) President Mohamed Magarief held bilateral talks Thursday (November 22nd) in Tunis, TAP reported. Topics included the future of the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA).

Marzouki announced after the meeting that funds had been allocated by Libya to assist Tunisian development.

Libya is set to become "the biggest workshop for jobs and reconstruction in the region," Libya Herald quoted Magarief as saying.

On Friday, Magarief will address the National Constitutional Assembly.
