Kenya: Prisons Hit Gsu to Run Away Title

Kenya Prisons rallied from one set deficit to beat General Service Unit (GSU) 3-2 (24-26, 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, 15-12) in men's play-off decider to be crowned new national league champions.

GSU won the first set 26-24 but Prisons levelled the scores with a 25-18 second set victory. The third set was closely contested with less than two points separating the sides.

GSU lost two set points as Prisons rallied to catch up with the paramilitary men at 24-24. GSU then gained two consecutive points to win 26-24 and claim 2-1 set advantage.

Prisons suffered setback towards the end of the third set when Jackson Mwambia was carried off the court with knee injury. Prisons went ahead to win the fourth set 25-20 and tie-breaker 15-12 to claim the trophy.
