Kenya: University Strikes Deal With GDC

Mt Kenya University has partnered with the Geothermal Development Company to promote their training programmes. The two institutions are working on a plan to give opportunities to MKU students to gain experience through internship as part of the academic exchange programme

The GDC CEO Silas Simiyu said this is part of the Private-public partnership. He said GDC will benefit from the talent at the university while experts at the electricity generating company will give lectures to students during weekends.

Simiyu, who was accompanied by senior lecturers and university board members, said Kenya will have to generate more power to achieve vision 2030.
