Kenya: Ford People, KSC Urged to Join ODM

FORD People and Kenya Social Congress parties were yesterday challenged to work with ODM.

Nyamira County ODM chairman Timothy Bosire cautioned the two parties against entering into 'unworkable' alliances saying that ODM was ready to work with the two parties.

He spoke after the defection of 25 DP officials in Nyamira county to ODM. "This is a boost in our party's bid to ensure that our presidential candidate gets majority votes from the county," he said.

He said that officials from other parties in the county were also keen to join ODM. "We look forward to receive many more especially from Ford People and Kenya Social Congress. These defections show that we are doing well as a party and people are appreciating our leadership," he added.

Bosire assured those defecting of fairness adding that ODM is a democratic party.

The defecting DP officials were led by their chairman Charles Ocharo and youth leader Jasper Nyachae. They defected on Wednesday and were received by ODM's executive director Janet Ong'era and Bosire.
