Rwanda: President Sassou-N'Guesso Visits

REPUBLIC of congo President, Denis Sassou-N'Guesso arrived in Kigali yesterday for a two day working visit.

President Sassou-N'Guesso arrived at Kigali International Airport at 1:45pm accompanied by officials from his government.

"He is here to meet his Rwandan counterpart, President Paul Kagame at bilateral relations level. The two Presidents are expected to hold talks and further details will be announced later," said Mary Baine, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

President Sassou-N'Guesso made a state visit to Kigali last year, which has since boosted cooperation and trade links between Rwanda and the Republic of Congo.
