Nigeria: Pregnant Woman, Three Others Killed in Delta Communal Clash

A communal clash among residents of Utagba-Ogbe community in Delta State has reportedly claimed the lives of a pregnant woman and three others.

Eyewitness said there have been cases of communal clashes in the last few months in the community over the ownership of farmlands, a situation that led to the alleged killing of innocent residents.

LEADERSHIP SUNDAY gathered that residents of the community had been living in the fear of the unknown, following the spate of killings allegedly perpetrated by gunmen including some faceless indigenes.

The victims of Friday's incident were alleged to have met their death in the hands of the hoodlums in their farmlands after a minor scuffle over ownership of the disputed land.

Residents, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said the attackers encroached on their farmlands, adding that in an attempt to resist their forceful nature to eject them, a fight ensued.
