Angola: Canon Apolonio Urges Women to Live As True Devotees

Luanda — Canon Apolonio Graciano this Sunday here advised religious women, especially youths, to be the mirror of true Christians, taking the religious principles into account.

The Catholic prelate made this appeal during the homily of the Sunday Mass at the parish of Christ the King, in Benfica ward, having blasted the way young women present themselves to the society nowadays, forgetting about being a figure of gumption.

"A woman has to be that person that helps rebuild, that figure who knows how to look further through her very feminine vocation, thereby helping to rediscover paths and spaces so that humans can actually know how to have a straighter awareness," he said.

The priest questioned the role of Catholic women on what they have done to actually identify themselves with Jesus Christ, as women of other religions seek to dress with dignity.
