Angola: Governor Hands Over Houses to Disadvantaged Residents

Kassongue — The provincial governor of Kwanza Sul, Eusébio de Brito Teixeira, on Friday handed over, in Kassongue district, 12 modular houses to people living in unfavorable conditions, under the program to combat poverty and hunger in rural areas.

The 12 houses, which are ready and delivered, are part of a batch of 50 modular houses that are being built on the outskirts of the village of Kassongue, having contemplated the most vulnerable people in the area, with the process of identifying the beneficiaries having counted on the participation of traditional authorities and members of civil society.

Given the shortage faced by many citizens, in terms of housing, the delivery process will happen in stages whenever a certain number of houses are built.
