Media Trust Limited sports reporter, David Ngobua has been honoured as the best print sports writer in the Federal Capital Territory.
He was one of those recognised by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), FCT chapter at its Award and Gala Night at the Radio House, Abuja on Thursday.
The Chairman of the Association, Kayode Adeniyi noted that Mr. Ngobua's outstanding performance on the job within the year earned him the award.
While responding to the award, the prolific writer thanked his colleagues for recognising and honouring him.
He dedicated the award to God, his family and his colleagues on the sports desk, promising to perform even better in the coming years.
Also, Arafat Aliu of Cool / Wazobia FM bagged the best Radio sports journalist award while the best Television sports journalist award went to Salihu Ibrahim of African Independent Television (AIT).
Other awards went to athletes, officials and administrators within and outside the FCT, who were outstanding in their respective duties within the period under
review.
The Award/Gala night climaxed the 2012 FCT SWAN week which had a novelty football match, table tennis competition & lectures as part of activities for the week.
