South Africa: IFP Appalled By MEC Dhlomo's Usage of State Helicopter for Personal Affairs

The Inkatha Freedom Party in KwaZulu Natal is appalled at the latest revelation that Provincial MEC for Health, Dr Sbongiseni Dhlomo used the medical helicopter to attend a funeral.

"It is devastating that for two weeks the MEC lied and misled the public saying he was attending urgent conflict matters in kwaHlabisa," said Hon. Dr Usha Roopnarain, Shadow MEC for Health in the KZN Legislature.

The IFP is shocked that the MEC was adamant that he was attending DOH problems. The IFP is calling for the MEC to apologise to the public for misleading it and continuously lying to it.

"The MEC must be brought to book for lying to the nation. It is so unfortunate that the MEC could have been upfront and honest, rather he spend two weeks on spin doctoring. The truth has prevailed and he must face the consequences,"said Honourable Dr Roopnarain.
