Zimbabwe: Veteran MDC Member Vimbai Mbisva Dies

The MDC has learnt with great shock and sadness over the untimely death of Vimbai Mbisva, a founder member of the MDC and the Glen View South district information and publicity secretary.

Mbisva, 41, was also a human rights defender and political analyst, died early this morning at his Budiriro home in Harare. He is also a founder member of the National Constitutional Assembly.

Since June 2010, Mbisva has been very active in the drafting of a new Constitution and was part of the MDC delegation at the Second All Stakeholders' Conference in held in September in Harare.

Mbisva is survived by his wife, Tendai Mugauri and four children, Tafadzwa, Vimbai, Nokutenda and Mazvita. Mourners are gathered in Sunningdale, Harare. Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
