Gunmen reportedly attacked the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad facility in Abuja in the early hours of Monday.

The SARS HQ is one of the places boko haram suspects are normally held when transferred to Abuja.

When contacted, FCT Police Commissioner Aderenle Shinaba assured that he will soon brief the press about the details of the attack.

However, unconfirmed sources claim a number of detainees were released during the attack.
